Intro:
Some say the Forest is just a regular place. But it's more than that! Ever been down to Lake Mythster? It's an old lake deep down in the Forest. I heard dark, scary secrets about this lake, but I never believed them. Well, not until now...
I was sitting in my igloo watching TV feeling entertained. But, of course, the phone rang for the hundredth time this week. I picked it up. A strange voice exploded my ears with a scream.
"WHO IS THIS?!" I screamed back. All I got was a "BEEP", telling me that the dude hung up. "Well that was weird." I quietly said to myself. I then went into the kitchen to grab a drink. As I was looking for a drink in the fridge, I heard another "RIIIIING". I ran to my couch and picked up the phone. "WHAT?!?!?!" I yelled.
"Woah there, sir. This is the EPF here warning you." a guy with a deep voice said.
"Warn me about what?" I asked.
"About a guy making prank calls. We think he's one of our prisoners who broke out of the EPF prison." the guy responded back.
"Woah, wait there agent dude. Are you telling me that the EPF put a dude in prison for making prank calls?!" I asked with a confused voice.
"Nooo, we put him in prison for killing two kids in the Forest three years ago." the agent responded back.
"And why do you think the prank caller is the prisoner?" I asked.
"Because the prisoner used to love making prank calls! Before he went to prison, the sick penguin called me telling me I won a pizza! The pizza arrived, and it wasn't the kind of pizza I was expect! Dang penguin sent me a mini gummy pizza in a big pizza box. Sick dude... Plus, the two voices match." the agent responded. "Anymore questions?" he asked.
"No, I'm good. Now I'm in the mood for pizza." I responded back.
"Haha... shut up. If you get any prank calls, call us. Bye, sir." the agent said. Right before I could say bye back, the agent hung up on me. I set down the phone and waddled over to my computer. I wanted to learn more about this murderer, so I went of Pengle and searched 'Prank calling murderer of two in Forest'. I found a website with all kinds of information. I found out that the murderer killed two kids, both boys, by a lake hidden deep in the Forest named "Lake Mythster". I went back to Pengle and typed in 'Lake Mythster'. All I found was a website. I clicked the link and it brought me to a website called 'The Mystery of the Forest'. I scrolled down and found a story about a mysterious murderer who 'kills penguins'. I read the story, which was very interesting. According to the story, that the prisoner who made the prank calls had nothing to do with the murder and the EPF caught the wrong guy. It stated that the murderer can't be locked up in prison... because he isn't a penguin nor human...
I got off of the website and decided to waddle down to the Coffee Shop for a late night coffee. I found a whole group of penguins talking about the murderer. "I better keep a gun hidden under my bed tonight!" one penguin said. "Yeah, I'm gonna set a trap outside my door!" another penguin said. "Well, if the murderer breaks into my igloo, I'm gonna throw a cup at his head!" ANOTHER penguin said. I walked away and ordered a coffee. "Can I have one coffee, please?" I asked. "Sure thing! That'll be five coins!" the penguin at the counter said. I gave him five coins. "Thanks! One coffee coming up!" he said. "Oh, I almost forgot! Have you heard about the murderer waddling around the island?!" he asked. "Yes, I heard a little too much about him. Can I have my coffee?" I responded back. "Yeah, sure." he said. He got my coffee and gave it to me. "Thanks." I said. "No problem! Have a nice night and come back again!" the worker said. I walked out of the Coffee Shop and went to the Pizza Shop to visit Cal, one of the workers there. Like always, he was getting ready for the Haunted House they always have there for Halloween. "Hey Cal" I said. "Oh, hey! How's it doing?" Cal asked. "Good, I guess. Everybody's worried about the 'murderer' running around the island." I responded. "Oh, I'm not scared of him! I actually got online and found the true story about him!" Cal said. "Hey, me too! Did you get the information from a website called "The Mystery of the Forest"?" I asked him. "Yep!" he responded back. "There's actually two guys who own that website! Their names are Sgt. Backlen and Gregg! Sgt. Backlen actually lives in a cabin close to the lake! Gregg is his sidekick, I guess." he told me. "They both have been hunting for the true murderer ever since the murder happened! Every time they hunt, they see strange things right by the lake! Pretty creepy, if you ask me!" Cal finished. "Ha, maybe it's that werewolf that attacked us last year!" I joked. "Ha ha, very funny! Please, don't bring that up ever again. I still have nightmares." Cal told me with a scared look. "Sorry!" I said. "It's alright! Oh, and I forgot to tell you, if you wanna find out where the cabin is, you can go to Gregg's igloo at 397 Snow Street! He'll help you locate the cabin!" Cal told me. "Hey, thanks! You know what, I'm gonna go there right now! Bye!" I told Cal. "Bye!" Cal said. I went to the address Cal gave me, more excited than ever.
"Blank Street, Tiger Street, Hobo Street? I won't ask. And... SNOW STREET! I ran down the road and found Gregg's igloo. I went up to the igloo, and knocked. A guy answered the door with a gun. "WHO IS IT" the guy asked. "AHH! DON'T KILL ME! MY NAME IS WWE!" I responded back with a scared look. "Oh. Well, how is it doing?!" he asked. "My name is Gregg, owner of this fine igloo!" he said before I could respond to his question. "Ohhh, you're Gregg!" I said. "That's me!" the guy said. "I was just wondering if you could help me locate something." I told him. "Ok, locate what?" Gregg asked me. "The cabin by Lake Mythster." I said. Right after I said that, a weird look crossed his face, leading to a grin. "Lake Mythster, eh? You visited our website?" he asked. "Yep!" I said. "You're not afraid of scary things, are you?" he asked me. "Well, that Jason dude is kinda freaky..." I responded. He slammed the door in my face. "HEY DUDE! WHAT'S UP?!" I yelled. "Sorry, if you wanna visit the Cabin, you can't be scared of ANYTHING!" he yelled back. "I WAS JUST KIDDING! I ACTUALLY LIKE JASON!!!" I yelled back to him. He opened the door. "Good. Follow me." he said. I followed him into the Forest. He showed me a pathway. "Go through there!" he said loudly. "Um, I don't know where the cabin is! How am I supposed to lead you?" I said. He sighed. "Fine! Follow me!" he said. He led me through some trees, a river, a huge spider web, and more annoying things that were in the Forest. I soon got tired of walking. "Are we almost there?!" I asked loudly. "Shhhh! Shut up, kid! We don't know what's walking around in these woods!" he responded quietly. I rolled my eyes and continued walking.
2 hours. We STILL weren't there. It started to rain. I sighed and continued walking, until I tripped on a little rotten tree that had fallen down. I landed in mud. Gregg turned around. "Hey! What are you doin'?! We don't have time to lay down! Get up!" he whispered. "Well, sorry! This place is a death trap without death!" I said loudly. "Hey! Shut up and get up!" Gregg whispered loudly. He walked away, without helping me up. I got up by myself, spit mud out of my mouth, gagged, and walked away from the mud pit. I caught up to Gregg. I felt like turning around and running to my igloo, but it was too late. Gregg, with gun in hand, pointed to a door. "There it is!" Gregg happily whispered. It started to pour down rain. Gregg reached into his pocket and grabbed some keys. "Ok, I'm gonna unlock this door and we'll both run into this cabin. Sgt. Backlen should be sitting in his chair drinking beer." Gregg whispered to me. He unlocked the door and we both ran in. He told me to shut the door and lock it as fast as I could. I did so. He led me into a big room, with a guy sleeping in a chair. "BACKLEN! WAKE UP! WE HAVE COMPANY!" Gregg yelled. Sgt. Backlen woke up, confused. "What?! Who's there?!" Backlen said. "Oh, it's you!" Backlen said, looking more annoyed than ever. "This kid wants to locate Lake Mythster!" Gregg told Backlen. Backlen looked at me with a grin. "Ha! Him?!" Backlen laughed. I was already starting to hate this idiot, so I trash-talked him back! "Ha! You have the guts to own a cabin like this right by a haunted lake?! You look like my dead uncle!" I responded back, with a grin. Backlen just looked at me with an evil look. "Ok. Fine! I'll help this fresh meat locate Lake Mythster!" Backlen said. "But when he takes a look at the creatures who killed those two boys, I hope I never see him again!" Backlen said, getting up and walking into a room. I just rolled my eyes and went over to Gregg. "Um, he could be mean at times!" Gregg told me. "Ya think?!" I responded to him. "Listen, Backlen is the real stuff! He was a Sgt. in the CP War. If you back-talk him again, he'll throw you in his campfire!" Gregg said loudly. "I would like to see him try!" I said. Right after I said that, Sgt. Backlen came out of the room. He was wearing camouflage clothes, shoes, and hat. He gave me a grin and went into his kitchen to grab a gun. "Well, let's go!" he said. He opened the door for him, Gregg and I. We walked out. Backlen pointed to something in the woods. It was Lake Mythster.
I was surprised. It looked like a regular lake! "That's Lake Mythster?! I have a little fish pond more scary than that!" I yelled. "Hey! We're 50 feet away from it! If you get up close, you'll see why it's scary!" Backlen yelled back. He looked at me with an evil look. "Listen, 3 years ago, two boys were killed by this lake. About a month later, I moved into this cabin. At that time, I had no idea the murder scene took place here!" Backlen told me. "One day, I went hunting. That's when I found the lake. Yeah, I thought it was normal! Until something jumped out at me and started chasing me! I shot it. I've been seeing scary things by the lake since then." Backlen told me, with a scared look on his face. Gregg also gave me a scared look. "I was a detective back then, and I had to go up to the lake to look for clues leading to the murderer! The same thing happened to me. I ran into the cabin and met Backlen. He grabbed a gun, and shot the creature. We've been working together since that day!" Gregg told me. "Ok, so why did the EPF think the prisoner runnin' around the island right now was the murderer?!" I asked. "They got tricked. Someone sent the EPF a fake phone call and told them that it was the prank-calling prisoner who killed the boys. EPF believed it. The next day, they arrested the poor dude." Gregg told me. "Ok! Enough with the chit chat! Let's show this boy what Lake Mythster is all about!" Backlen yelled. Him and Gregg both started loading their guns. Then, all of a sudden, we heard a huge growl! After the growls stopped, we heard someone screaming for help. "CRAP! I think a creature attacked someone! Gregg! Stay here with the kid! I'm gonna go and see what's going on!" Backlen yelled. He pointed his loaded gun to the ground and ran off into the forest. "Don't worry, kid! Backlen is a tough son of a gun! I just hope he gets there in time before that creature has someone for his dinner!" Gregg told me. Right after he said that, we heard gun shots. We both ran in the same direction Backlen did. We stopped after we saw a pool of blood. A guy in a fishing outfit was dead.
"DANG IT! BACKLEN WAS TOO LATE!" Gregg yelled. I looked around. I couldn't find the creature nor Backlen. "Um, Gregg, where's Backlen?!" I asked, about ready to cry. Gregg looked around slowly. "Oh no..." Gregg whispered. "What?!" I asked loudly. He didn't answer. All he did was look around, slowly. "Um, Gregg? Gregg?! GREGG?!" I yelled. "Oh, sorry! I think we should go back to Backlen's Cabin..." Gregg said. "Why?!" I asked loudly. "I don't know, I just have a bad fee..." Before Gregg could finish that sentence, we heard a huge "SPLASH!" Gregg suddenly ran to the lake. I followed. When we got there, we saw Backlen, floating in the water. "NOOOO!!!!!!!" Gregg yelled. He ran to the water and pulled Backlen out. "BACKLEN! PLEASE, DON'T BE DEAD! YOU CAN'T BE DEAD! WAKE UP!!!" Gregg yelled. I just stared down at Backlen, stunned. "That's it, kid! We're gonna have to do this alone!" Gregg said loudly. I just stared down at Backlen, still stunned. "KID! FOCUS!!!" Gregg yelled. I was still staring at Backlen. "KID!!!!!!!!!!!!" Gregg yelled, again. I blinked. "Oh sorry. I... I just..." I couldn't finish the sentence. Gregg stared at me. The rain started to pour even harder. "HERE KID!" Gregg yelled at me. He tossed me a hand gun he had in his back pocket. "Let's make this creature OUR dinner!" Gregg said loudly. He walked into the woods. I followed. We started searching.
An hour passed. All we found was a huge rock, moss, a dead fish, a rabbit leg, and a dead smelly skunk. Everything we found was dead. "You'll see dead animals everywhere! These creatures have dinner 100 times a day!" Gregg told me. I just kept searching in the pouring rain. All of a sudden, we heard a huge growl. "Ok, kid! The creature's close! Just relax and wait for it to come our way!" Gregg whispered. Right before I could get relaxed, the creature came running towards us. "KID! FIRE YOUR GUN AT HIM!" Gregg yelled. I fired my gun at his head. He fell to the ground. He was dead. "AHA! Good job, kid! That only took two seconds!" Gregg said loudly. He patted me on the back and he walked up to the creature. "Ha! Poor thing! Let's leave him here and go back to the lake!" Gregg told me. Before we could walk away from the creature, we heard another growl. We turned around. Another creature was coming towards us. Followed by another, and another, and another, and another! Dozens of creatures were coming towards us! They started circling us. We couldn't get away! I looked at Gregg. He knew we were screwed. I tried to swallow.
"Psst! Kid! Get your gun ready! Let's try and finish them!" Gregg whispered to me. I pointed my gun to the creatures. Gregg did the same. Before I could fire, a creature ahead of me fell to the ground randomly. Soon after, I saw a guy jump out of a tree. It was the prank-calling prisoner. "What the heck are you doing here?!" Gregg asked. "Don't question, just shoot!" the prisoner said. I fired my gun without aiming. Gregg and the prisoner did the same. I shot at least four creatures out of one-hundred. It was impossible to shoot all of them! I just kept shooting. And shooting. And shooting. I killed a decent amount of them, but there were still hundreds of them left. I just kept shooting. I soon ran out of bullets! "Crap!" I whispered. I looked around. Gregg and the prisoner were out of bullets, too! "What do we do now?!" I asked. I saw Gregg pull out a walkie-talkie. He spoke into the walkie-talkie very silently. He soon put the walkie-talkie into his pocket. "Forgot I had a walkie-talkie! A special plane is heading our way." Gregg whispered. The creatures were getting closer. "Here! Grab a knife! If these beasts get any closer, stab the heck out of them! I'll be up in that tree waiting for my plane!" Gregg whispered. He gave us both knives. He then started kicking his way to a huge tree. The creatures started getting closer. We both started stabbing them as fast as we could. It didn't work. They knocked the knives right out of our hands and started dragging us through the mud. We soon started hearing gun shots. We saw dozens of creatures fall to the ground. We both looked up. We saw Gregg in his plane firing bullets at the creatures. Hundreds of creatures fell to the ground! Then, all of a sudden, Gregg stopped firing bullets. The plane then crashed down from the sky onto three creatures. The plane was destroyed.
"DANG IT! THEY FORGOT TO PUT GAS INTO THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!!" Gregg said crawling out of the crashed plane. There were still six creatures left. Gregg soon started running towards the creatures stabbing them with his knife. He stabbed four creatures. There were still two left. One of them knocked the knife out of hand and pushed him to the ground. Gregg landed on his neck. Then, all of a sudden, we heard gun shots. Both creatures fell to the ground. They were both dead. We looked to see who fired the gun. All we saw was a guy on the ground. He was weak. He was hurt. He was Backlen. The prisoner and I both ran to him and tried to help him up. He just fell to the ground. "BACKLEN?!?!?!" I yelled. "Wait here!" I told the prisoner. I ran to the cabin. I kicked the door open and looked for a phone. I found one under Backlen's chair along with a beer can. I called the EPF. "EPF?! I NEED HELP, NOW! I'M HERE IN A CABIN IN THE FOREST! COME QUICK!" I told an agent. I hung up the phone without saying thanks or goodbye. I waited. 15 minutes passed. I was still waiting. Then, all of a sudden, I heard someone. I ran out of the cabin. I saw an EPF agent. "THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE! FOLLOW ME!" I said loudly. I ran to Backlen, Gregg, the prisoner, and the dead creatures. "Holy smokes!" the agent said. The agent walked up to Backlen and called for a hospital plane. The agent then walked up to the prisoner, and cuffed him.
"What are you doing?!" I asked the agent. "Um, hello?! This guy is a murderer!" the agent said. "No! He's not! The person who told you he killed a couple of kids here lied! Plus, he helped us!" I told the agent loudly. The agent just looked at him. "Well, I still have to take him to the Command Room!" the agent said. I just sighed. Suddenly, a plane came. It touched the ground. Two EMTs got out of the plane with two stretchers. They went up to Backlen, lifted him up on a stretcher, and put him into the plane. Then, they went up to Gregg. He was outcold. They lifted him up on the other stretcher and put him into the plane. They got into the plane and drove off into the air in the pouring rain. "Hey, you're gonna have to come with me. I need to know what happened." the agent told me. I went with him, along with the prisoner. I got into the agent car and he drove us off to the Command Room. When we got there, I told him everything that happened. "Hmm, seems like an adventure!" he told me. He soon told me that I could leave. When I was leaving, I saw the prisoner. He walked up to me and shook my hand. "Nice doing business with you!" he said, smiling. He then walked away, and soon after, I walked home.
The next morning, I got a phone call from the agent. He told me that the prisoner was not headed back to prison! He also told me that the prisoner, Gregg, Backlen, and I were going get rewarded for killing the creatures. I asked him how Gregg and Backlen were doing. He said Gregg was doing OK and was going to get released the next morning. He told me that Backlen would have to stay there for more than a week. When I asked him what they were going to do about Lake Mythster, he suddenly said that he had to go and hung up without saying goodbye. The reward I got was 10,000 coins and a certificate. We also got to name the Forest around Lake Mythster. Together, we came up with the name, "Bigfoot's Forest", and then we bowed to never go there again.
I was sitting in my igloo watching TV feeling entertained. But, of course, the phone rang for the hundredth time this week. I picked it up. A strange voice exploded my ears with a scream.
