Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
As far as surprise entrances, I predict a Hogan return (maybe give him one elimination with Curt Hawkins), Shinsuke Nakamura debut, and Finn Balor return. During the match, I'd have everyone gang up on Braun Strowman after he puts his hands on Hogan, throw him over the second rope, and have a few superstars (Sami Zayn, Shinsuke, Balor, and maybe Luke Harper?) put him through two announce tables ringside. Then, since this match will feature multiple superstars, for the first 6-10 minutes I'd focus on laying the foundation for future feuds. Eliminations are the most obvious way to do this, but I'd also have some encounters in the match that will play a part in a feud along the road. Maybe an injury angle to a babyface caused by a heel or unintentional contact from one babyface to another prompting a heel turn. I'd also begin Shinsuke's first feud with Finn Balor (who would later turn heel) after the two eliminate each other. When Strowman gets involved, he takes this whole match by the throat and makes it his bitch. He eliminates all (ALL, starting with Hogan) remaining superstars in the ring (I'd have at least 10, preferably Hogan, Mojo Rawley, Apollo Crews, Big Show, Shaq, Usos, Mark Henry, Fandango or Tyler Breeze, and Sami Zayn. I'd definitely have Zayn put up a fight against Strowman.) After his defeat to Roman, Strowman is going to need this. Ok, so maybe this was more of a "How I would book this match" type of thing. Bottom line, Strowman dominates. Alexa Bliss vs Carmella vs Natalya vs Mickie James vs Becky Lynch vs other TBA Eva Marie. No, she won't win, but I hope she returns here in this match and stay out of harms way until she sees an opportunity calling her name. The opportunity, of course, backfires on her. Bottom line, WE NEED EVA MARIE IN THIS MATCH. As far as winner goes, if Naomi returns, the title goes back to her. If she doesn't, maybe a Mickie James run with the gold? As far as past divas returning, if Kelly Kelly just has to be involved, so be it. She doesn't win, though. I also wouldn't mind Tamina, Victoria, Lita, and maybe Melina getting added to this match. Neville vs Austin Aries While Neville has been phenomenal as a heel, Austin Aries has been great since he debuted on commentary. I predict Aries wins. Considering the competitors in this match, you know this match will be excellent. Just, please, no purple ropes. John Cena and Nikki Bella vs The Miz and Maryse If Cena proposes to Nikki, then I hope Maryse eats the pin to protect Miz and have the proposal take place after the match. They can use ring rust as an excuse afterwards, since this is Maryse's first match in 6 years. The main thing here is to protect the Miz at all costs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs Enzo & Cass vs Cesaro & Sheamus Cass gets the titles after Enzo nails Sheamus, who's up the ladder with Cass, in the nuts with a ladder. Cesaro and Cass would lay out Gallows & Anderson before Cass blind-sides Cesaro outside of the ring. Cass will climb up when he spots Sheamus at the top of the ladder and Enzo will enter the ring with a ladder and take Sheamus's chances of having kids in the future away from him. Yes, this would spark a heel turn for E&C. Dean Ambrose vs Baron Corbin RENEE YOUNG ON A FORKLIFT MATCH! Ok, just kidding. I predict a Baron Corbin win for this match, and then move forward by never hearing him blab pre-written dialogue again. Seriously. He's better without it. I'd also love to see Ambrose attempt some crazy stunt, maybe a flying elbow off a forklift into an End of Days, and ultimately have that costing him the match. Chris Jericho vs Kevin Owens A beautiful friendship, ruined by a man's (who's name involves three Hs) selfish desire to control the WWE at the palm of his hands. He brainwashes a fellow wrestler into igniting a flame under his best friendship's ass and creating ashes beneath a gift's feet. Ok, so it was a fake friendship. We've all dealt with those. Therefore, it wasn't all that beautiful. Anyway, Owens wins clean. Shane McMahon vs AJ Styles Obviously Shane's going to do a crazy-ass stunt. I see him connecting but doing an injury angle. When AJ recovers, he attacks Shane abid ref's orders and wins the match in heel fashion. This would give Daniel Bryan ore reasons to trade him to RAW in the 2017 draft. Bayley vs Charlotte vs Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax I predict a Sasha win after she rolls Bayley up and uses the tights to her advantage. She'll officially turn heel the night after on RAW. Seth Rollins vs Triple H You know Triple H is going to focus on the injured knee in this match. Rollins will rise against the odds and go out as the victor. I also wouldn't mind seeing him use the Curb Stomp, but I like the idea of Seth pinning HHH with his own move. Roman Reigns vs The Undertaker If Roman Reigns wins, he SHOULD NOT remain a babyface. We all know Reigns is going to win. I'd have Undertaker's health play a role in this match and have Reigns take advantage of that. Have no sympathy what-so-ever, and the next night on RAW, have him brag about it. Randy Orton vs Bray Wyatt I definitely do not see Sister Abigail coming out to help Bray. That won't happen simply because they've said a thousand times during this feud that she's dead. She's buried. And cremated. She'll never debut. Anyway, I see Wyatt using his mind games to beat the Arsonist and lead the army of sheep masks through the darkness as WWE Champion. Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg Brock takes 'berg to Suplex City. Then he activates an F5 and wins. The end.
Comments
Tyson Kidd and Cesaro w/Natalya (c) vs Usos vs New Day vs Los Matadores for the Tag Team Championships
I wouldn't be surprised if Usos win, but let's be honest here: Do any of us REALLY want to see the Usos get the titles back? They just lost them a couple months ago, and their title reign wasn't the greatest. They've also gotten a bit stale. (Heel turn, please) Then again, it's WWE. For the other two teams, I hope to God they don't win. What have the New Day done since debuting? Nothing. Except sing and dance their way to the title picture. Los Matadores? The two talented Puerto Rican wrestlers who fell victims to Vince's bad character ideas? Winning the Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania?! Unless they revert back to Primo & Epico overnight, I honestly don't want them winning. Now how about Tyson and Cesaro? They're the current champions, they're entertaining, and they're both awesome in the ring. I think Tyson Kidd and Cesaro are going to retain. I hope WWE changes their theme song, though. It's horrible. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal This match is kind of hard to predict, but if Sheamus returns at WrestleMania, I hope he gets put in the match. With that said, I think Sheamus is going to return and win this. I wouldn't mind seeing either Damien San/Mizdow or Curtis Axel win, though. #AXELMANIA Randy Orton vs Seth Rollins This is a tough one. If Seth Rollins doesn't cash in tomorrow night, I'm going to say Seth Rollins. But if Seth does cash in, I'm going to say Randy. I have no idea if Seth's going to cash in, so whoever wins this match is my prediction. No, that's not cheating. AJ Lee and Paige vs The Bella Twins Let me start off by saying who I want to win: AJ Lee and Paige. My prediction, however, is the Bella Twins. I predict AJ and Paige are going to beat the Hell out of each other towards the end of the match, leading to one of the Bellas pinning one of the two (or both). I don't mind seeing AJ and Paige fighting, but I really don't want to see another AJ/Paige feud. Don't get me wrong, I like them both, but their last match wasn't really good for some strange reason. Bad News Barrett (c) vs R-Truth vs Dean Ambrose vs Luke Harper vs Dolph Ziggler vs Stardust vs Daniel Bryan in a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship Honestly, I think this match is going to steal the show. Why? Because all seven wrestlers are great (even R-Truth). At first, I thought Dean Ambrose was going to win, but after reading WWE's plans for the championship, I predict Daniel Bryan winning this one. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sheamus cost Bryan the match, though. WWE seems to be high on a Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan match. (Don't ask why) John Cena vs Rusev (c) for the United States Championship I really don't want Cena ending Rusev's undefeated streak. A young, future star should end it. But it's WWE. They love giving Cena everything. I predict John Cena winning the United States Championship. *Sigh* Undertaker vs Bray Wyatt Two dark figures collide. I actually wouldn't mind seeing Wyatt winning this one, because he needs a win and it would mean 'Taker is 'passing the torch' to him. But I really don't want Undertaker losing. So, with all that said, I'm saying this match will end in a no contest. Would that be disappointing? Maybe, maybe not. But if Wyatt beats Undertaker (who I think will return as the American Badass tomorrow night) to where the ref has to stop the match, then Bray Wyatt becomes a major threat. Imagine what it would do for his career. It would also keep Undertaker at 21-1. This could also lead to the Undertaker vs Sting match that most of us want to see. (I kinda know how, but it's kinda hard to explain.) Sting vs Triple H Sting. I think it's obvious. Hopefully WWE goes with the 'If Trips loses, Authority ends' stipulation for this match. It would only make sense. Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship I wouldn't really mind seeing Roman win this match. Now, before you try hunting me down and killing me, I want to say that I'd mind with Roman winning. Yes, I wouldn't mind Roman winning but I would mind Roman winning. Let me explain - I wouldn't mind HEEL Roman winning, but if FACE Roman wins, I kinda have a problem with it. I predict that towards the end of this match, Paul swerves us all and distracts Brock, allowing Roman Reigns to win. After the match, Paul raises Roman's hand in the ring, officially creating an alliance with Reigns. Now if that doesn't happen, I predict Roman winning then Brock beating the living Hell out of him after the match. After Lesnar leaves, Seth Rollins comes out and cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase and walks out of the Levi's Stadium WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Or it could be the other way around, with Roman beating Brock up. (If this happens, it could lead to a Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose match at SummerSlam) Whatever happens in or after this match, I really hope it's good. Aaaand... those are my predictions! What are yours? Leave a comment down below and tell me because I desperately need comments. SummerSlam is officially over! This is definitely #2 on my 2014 best PPVs list, right behind WrestleMania 30. Below are the official match results, my rating for each match and my highlights from each match. Let's get started!
Match #1: Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz (c) for the Intercontinental Championship Pretty good match. I love how Ziggler kicked out of the Skull Crushing Finale. In the end, Dolph Ziggler hit Zig Zag for the win. Finally, WWE is pushing this guy! Winner, and new Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler Highlights of the match: The superkick Dolph delievered to the Miz right in the moneymaker and Dolph kicking out of the Skull Crushing Finale Match Rating: 7.5/10 Match #2: Paige vs AJ Lee (c) for the Divas Championship Great match! Some nasty bumps came out of this match, but in the end, Paige hit RamPAIGE for the win. Winner, and new Divas Champion: Paige Highlights of the match: AJ ripping out some of Paige's hair and Paige throwing AJ head first into the barricade. Match Rating: 7.5/10 Match #3: Jack Swagger vs Rusev in a Flag Match Before the match even started, Rusev attacked Swagger but got caught in the Patriot Lock. Lana tried to call of the match, but the ref refused. Pretty good match. In the end, Rusev won with the Accolade. Swagger DID NOT tap, he fainted and the ref was forced to call for the bell. After the match, Rusev kicked Zeb Colter. JBL's reaction was awesome. Winner: Rusev Highlights of the match: Rusev's failing to put the Accolade on Swagger (Rusev did great selling) and Rusev superkicking Zeb Colter after the match. Match Rating: 7/10 Match #4: Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose in a Lumberjack Match This match was awesome! Best of the night. The lumberjacks couldn't even control these two! They fought in the audience until Corporate Kane came out and ordered the lumberjacks to go after them and throw them back into the ring. In the end, Ambrose hit Rollins's Curb Stomp and went for the pin, but Kane broke it up. Goldust then came in and argued with Kane. War between the lumberjacks then broke loose. While was fighting off the Wyatt Family, Rollins got back into the ring with the briefcase and hit Ambrose in the head with it. Winner: Seth Rollins Highlights of the match: Ambrose and Rollins fighting in the audience, Ambrose getting on the turnbuckle and jumping onto the lumberjacks and Seth Rollins and Ambrose delivering Curb Stomp to Rollins. Match Rating: 9.5/10 Match #5: Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt This match was better than their last. Bray looked dominant as always. In the end, the two go out to the floor and Wyatt hit Jericho with a thumb right to the throat. He hits Sister Abigail into the barricade and throws Jericho back in the ring. Bray gets into the ring and covers Jericho for the three count. Winner: Bray Wyatt Highlights of the match: DDT on the Bray's creepy Spider Walk and Sister Abigail into the barricade. A highlight before the match was Jericho's count down returning. I don't know why they got rid of it. Match Rating: 7.5/10 Match #6: Stephanie McMahon vs Brie Bella This match was actually pretty good. In the end, Triple H came out and pulled the ref out of the ring (Refs sell everything) while Brie had the YES! Lock on Stephanie. Out comes Nikki. Brie kicks Triple H to the floor and starts doing the YES! taunt and chant. Nikki gets in the ring. Brie follows. Stephanie's trapped. Right when you think Stephanie was going to get beat up, Nikki pulls Steph out of the way and punches Brie. Heel turn! Stephanie covers and the ref counts to 3 (Triple H threwhim back in the ring). Stephanie's still got it! Winner: Stephanie McMahon Highlights of the match: Triple H coming out and Nikki's heel turn. Match Rating: 6.5/10 Match #7: Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns Decent match. Roman delivered a pretty good Somoan Drop from the top and Randy delivered an awesome RKO while Reigns was going for the flying Clothesline. Still can't believe Reigns kicked out of that. In the end, Orton gets frustrated and goes for the punt. Reigns sweeps Orton's leg and goes for a very epic spear. Winner: Roman Reigns Hightlights of the match: Randy Orton nailing a Powerslam on Reigns when Reigns went for a spear, Reigns's Somoan Drop from the top (that rhymed!), Orton's epic RKO to Reigns when Reigns was in the air and Reigns's spear on Orton for the win. (The spear is one of my favorite wrestling moves) Match Rating: 7/10 Match #8: Brock Lesnar vs John Cena (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Brock dominated this match. I mean DOMINATED. Cena basically got squashed, and SOLD EVERY MOVE. Brock hit the F5 in the first 3 minutes of the match (Cena kicked out at 2) and Brock delivered 16 German Suplexes to Cena during the match. Yes, 16! In the end, Cena had the STF locked in but Brock got out. Brock delivered an F5 to Cena for the win. Pretty good match. Unfortunately, there wasn't any blood, urine or vomit. Oh well. Winner, and new WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Brock Lesnar Highlights of the match: Brock hitting F5 in the first 3 minutes of the match, Cena selling every move and Brock Lesnar hitting not 1, not 2, but 16 German Suplexes. Match Rating: 8/10 Overall rating: 9/10. Very good ppv! Thanks for reading, ~Wwerocks88 Last night, war broke loose. Last night, WWE ppv Battleground took place in Tampa, Florida. Below are the results, my match ratings and highlights. Enjoy!
Match #1: The Usos (c) vs The Wyatt Family (Erick Rowan and Luke Harper) in a 2 out of 3 Falls match for the Tag Team Championships I actually missed this match, sadly. So, because I missed it, I can't really give my rating or my highlight. People on my Twitter timeline state that it was an awesome match and the best of the night. I'm really disappointed I missed it, and hopefully I can find it on YouTube, but anyway, the winners of this match were: Winners: The Usos Retain Next, we see Seth Rollins backstage talking to Tom Phillips. Rollins talks about his match tonight, until Dean Ambrose attacks him out of nowhere. Officials try to break the two up, until Triple H comes walking to the scene. He pulls Dean Ambrose off of Rollins and told security to throw Ambrose out of the building. This was the start of some epic and entertaining brawls throughout the night between the two. Oh, and their match didn't happen, sadly. Match #2: Paige vs AJ Lee (c) for the Divas Championship Pretty good match. I was a little disappointed in this match, but I doubt this was the last time we'll see these two ladies battle. Anyway, Paige dominated most of this match. Towards the end of the match, we saw Paige break out of the Black Widow and AJ kick out of the Paige Turner. We also heard Paige communicate with AJ telling her to end the match, but that's no big deal since we hear Cena communicate all the time. Anyway, AJ hit the Shining Wizard to end the match. Winner: AJ Lee Retains Highlights of the match: Paige breaking out of the Black Widow, AJ kicking out of Paige Turner, and Paige throwing AJ into the barricade. Match Rating: 6/10 Next, we have Randy Orton backstage looking for Kane. Kane shows up behind Orton. Orton apologizes to him for what happened on RAW and says they need to make sure John Cena or Roman Reigns don't leave with the titles. Kane states the winner of the match is standing right here, and walks off. Match #3: Rusev vs Jack Swagger Before the match, we saw Lana speaking on the mic about how the United States sucks. Swagger's music then hits and him and Zeb walk out to the ring. Zeb grabs a mic, but before he can speak, Lana slaps Zeb in the face. Rusev and Swagger then go to war. Rusev dominated the first part of the match, until Swagger rolls out of the ring and Zeb hyped him up. Swagger gets back in the ring and attacks Rusev. He then applies the Patriot Lock. Rusev crawls to the bottom rope to break the hold and then falls to the floor. Swagger gets out of the ring and applies the Patriot Lock again out side of the ring. Rusev counters and sends Swagger flying head first into the ring post. Rusev gets back into the ring and wins via count out. After the match, Rusev throws Swagger (who's still knocked out) back into the ring and applies the Camel Clutch. I think this feud isn't over. Winner: Rusev via Count Out Highlights of the match: Swagger delivering that clothesline (I thought it was nicely done) and Rusev sending Swagger head first into the ring post. Match Rating: 7/10 Next, we get a creepy promo from Goldust and Stardust. I actually like the Stardust character, but I'm also hoping we get to see Goldust vs Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Match #4: Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose Like I said above, this match didn't happen. But, instead, we got some really entertaining brawls throughout the night between the two. Anyway, Seth comes out to the ring and demands the referee raises his hand and Justin Roberts declare him the winner via forfeit. The ref and Justin do so. His music starts playing and he celebrates. Winner: Seth Rollins via Forfeit He begins to exit, until Dean Ambrose comes running down the ramp and attacks him. I guess all the good security were part of the budget cuts. Silly Vince. Anyways, Ambrose sends Rollins into the barricade and they brawl ringside. Then in the audience. Then back ringside. Officials come out and try to break it up. Security grab Ambrose and drags him through the audience. Ambrose escapes, jumps onto the announce table, jumps onto the Spanish announce tables, and jumps on Rollins. The brawl continues. Officials can't separate them. Triple H then comes out. He pulls Ambrose off. This time, Rollins is the one that attacks. They still can't separate the two. The crowd chants 'Let them fight'. Security has to carry Ambrose out. They're almost successful, until Rollins attacks again. Triple H pulls Rollins out of the brawl and takes him to the entrance. He raises his hand as security carry Ambrose out of the arena. I'm kind of glad they didn't have the match, because this match is SummerSlam material. Brawl Rating: 10/10 Match #5: Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt This match wasn't awesome, but it was pretty good. During the match, we see Chris Jericho launch onto Bray Wyatt and the rest of the family outside of the ring. We also see Harper and Rowan get sent to the back by the referee. The rest of the match has back and forth action. There's a point in the match where both men were down and Bray got up by doing his spider walk. Creepy as f***. In the end, Jericho hit the Codebreaker out of nowhere for the win. I was actually surprised Jericho won. I'm hope this feud will continue, and we get to see another battle between the two at SummerSlam. If we do get another match, I'm pretty sure Wyatt will go over. A win at SummerSlam would definitely beat a lost at a two year old ppv. Winner: Chris Jericho Highlights of the match: Jericho climbing the apron and launching himself onto the whole Wyatt Family outside of the ring, Jericho landing on the camera man, and Wyatt's creepy spider walk. Match Rating: 6/10 After the match, we see Seth Rollins walking out of the arena with two security personnel. When they get to the parking lot, Seth looks back and tells the security to go away and that he doesn't need them. Big mistake. They go away and Rollins continues to walk to his car. He then gets paranoid and looks around the lot. While his back is turned to his car, the trunk pop open and out comes Dean Ambrose with a weapon. Ambrose runs toward Seth Rollins and swings the weapon at him. He misses and they start brawling. Ambrose sends Rollins flying onto Rollins' car and they start brawling on the car. Rollins pushes Ambrose off, gets in the car and speeds off. He forgets his bag on the lot. Dean Ambrose stand in the lot looking at Rollins' car as Rollins speeds away. Very entertaining brawl. Brawl Rating: 10/10 Match #6: Battle Royal for the Intercontinental Championship They participants make their entrances. After Sheamus comes out, Bad News Barrett's theme hits. He comes out and states that the winner's demise will come in a form of a Bullhammer. The bell rings and here we go. The Great Khali is the first one eliminated. Later in the match, Kofi Kingston did his usual 'Holy Crap' moments that he always does in Battle Royals/Royal Rumbles by hanging onto Cesaro's legs and jumping onto Big E's shoulders, who was eliminated just seconds before. Cesaro also ignored elimination by hanging onto Kofi's hair. Ouch. Cesaro finally eliminates Kofi by suplexing him out of the ring. Cesaro then gets eliminated by Heath Slater. Yes, Heath Slater eliminated Cesaro. Slater then takes a brogue kick by Sheamus and out he goes. In the end, Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler are the only ones left in the ring. The Miz is also still part of the match, but is laying on the floor. (He escaped through the bottom rope) Sheamus and Ziggler start brawling. After a couple minutes, Sheamus finally gets eliminated by Ziggler. Ziggler thought he won it, until Miz comes back in and eliminates him. Winner: The Miz Highlights of the match: JBL calling R-Truth 'R-Trizzle' while Truth was coming out to the ring, Kofi Kingston ignoring elimination twice, and Cesaro ignoring elimination by hanging onto Kofi's hair. Match Rating: 8/10 Match #7: Roman Reigns vs Kane vs Randy Orton vs John Cena (c) in a Fatal 4 Way for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Good match. Randy Orton and Kane worked together in the first few minutes of this match. The quickly changed whenever Kane went for the pin and Orton came in and started arguing with him. 'Yes!' chants filled the arena during this argument. Reigns and Cena had a staredown two times during this match, which was interrupted by Kane and Orton both times. Reigns had some pretty good spots in the match. He delivered the big kick to Randy Orton on the announce table, and speared Orton through the barricade. Another great spot in this match was when Kane was going for the superplex on Orton on the turnbuckle and Cena and Reigns came in and delivered a powerbomb to Kane, thus taking out both Kane and Orton. There was also a spot where Cena came in and put an STF on Orton who was already locked in a half-crab by Reigns. In the end, Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment to Orton on top of Kane. Cena covered Kane and won. What a surprise!m *Sarcasm* Winner: John Cena Highlights of the match: Reigns's spear on Orton through the barricade and Cena's STF on Orton who was already in a half crab. Match Rating: 8/10 That ends this article! Thanks for reading! ~Wwerocks88 |
